I say just forget ICE’s all together. They’re too much trouble. Use something like a stirling engine to charge some ultracaps and run that cart (or your house) on electricity.

it is possible it has already been done but all info is on the black shelf need; Basically it all comes down to litrs per minute
    your just not making enough

MSD makes an electronic adjustable ignition timing system. It is a little costly though.

Hey Jake, good research on the project. I’m with you on the timing issue. I doubt that you will be able to change the timing electronically with that ignition system. I am using an older car with points distributor. This is helpful in getting rid of the timing problem and might be a good idea for your next testbed engine. Look for an old motorcycle with points. Most newer engine management will not allow timing past tdc. Older technology is perfect for this type of testing. Keep it up, Rob.

Good job on doing these tests. Until someone builds a cell that can produce enough gas to run an ICE on HHo alone, we will always be at best running at idle only. As soon as any load is put on the motor then the amount of fuel that’s needed is up to 100x more than what’s already entering the intake. At the moment I think that fuel assist is the way to go. Nice 1 dude.
