Why hydrogen?
Hydrogen has the highest energy to weight ratio known, NASA has used it as a rocket fuel for decades. Hydrogen is considered a near-perfect energy carrier. It has many advantages over conventional fuels: it is non-toxic, it is renewable, clean to use, it's cheap, and it produces much more energy per pound than other fuels.

Hydrogen is considered the fuel of choice for energy-efficiency. As stated above, it burns very cleanly and doesn't produce carbon dioxide pollutants. One of the most exciting things about hydrogen is that it is virtually cost free since one can extract hydrogen from water. One liter of water contains approximately 1866 liters of hydrogen and oxygen or HHO gas.

Isn't hydrogen dangerous?
Yes but no more so than gasoline. Hydrogen is a flammable gas and when combined with Oxygen becomes an explosive gas the same as gasoline. However, Hydrogen is the lightest element in the universe and rapidly dissipates as it rises in the atmosphere so there is no worries about a hydrogen spill.

Remember, we are not storing any Hydrogen, we are supplying it to the engine where it is consumed as it is produced. With hydrogen production on demand, there is no Hydrogen storage tank to explode in an accident.

How do I know this isn't some kind of rip-off?
Because we promise! Seriously, we offer a full 60 day money back guarantee. If you are not fully satisfied that our Limelight hydrox kits are the fastest, easiest way to achieve significant fuel mileage gains on your vehicle, we'll give you all your money back.

Why haven't I heard about this before?
The underlying technology has been around since the early 1800's and was experimented with in the 1940's for use on automobiles. Up until recently petroleum based fuels were relatively cheap and there was very little interest in this type of supplemental fuel technology. The conspiracy theorists among us also blame the "big oil" companies for the suppression of this technology.

Will your kit fit in my car?
Unfortunately there is no way to guarantee the placement in any given vehicle due to state smog controls, additional options and manufacturer production changes. But don't worry, where there is a will, there is a way! Our kits can fit in most vehicle engine compartments but can also be installed behind bumpers, fenders, in the trunk, mounted externally or in a truck bed. The only place the kit can not go is in the passenger compartment for safety reasons.

Can I use it on my boat?
Yes you can use our kits with any internal combustion engine that burns gasoline, diesel fuel, ethanol, Biodiesel or LPG.

Will it work on diesel engines?
Yes you can use our kits with any diesel fuel combustion engine. Diesel engines are generally easier to install the kit on since most have no Oxygen sensors. Injecting supplemental hydrogen on a diesel engine follows the same principals as propane injection and causes the diesel fuel to combust and burn more thoroughly.

Will my car still pass the state emissions test?
Your car should pass your state's emissions test with flying colors! Documented emissions tests results show a dramatic reduction in Hydrocarbons, Carbon Monoxide and Nitrogen oxides. If your testing technician questions your vehicle's low test results, you may have to show him the supplemental hydrogen kit to prove his machine is not broken.

What about freezing temperatures?
Our supplemental hydrogen kits are designed to withstand freezing temperatures without a problem. Even if frozen solid, once power is applied to the reaction chamber, the ice will begin to melt and return to it's liquid state within a few minutes. The wet flashback arrestor is cold-proofed by adding rubbing or denatured alcohol to the water. If further cold-proofing is desired, the entire system can be flushed and refilled with winter blend windshield washer fluid.

Doesn't it take more energy to produce hydrogen than is returned?
According to the laws of thermodynamics, technically yes. There is a common misconception being spread by naysayers and people who still believe that the earth is flat about supplemental hydrogen injection. They claim that by drawing electricity to run the hydrogen generator, that you cause the vehicle to use more fuel to make the electricity than you get back in burning the hydrogen. They will cite laws of thermodynamics and conservation of matter and claim that any automotive device that uses electrolysis to produce supplemental hydrogen must be a perpetual motion machine and can not exist.

Let me ask you if your gas mileage drops when you turn on your car's headlights? Of course not! Your vehicles alternator is constantly producing anyplace from 60 to 120 Amps, most of it going unused. All we are doing is taping into a small amount of this surplus electricity that is already being produced. Adding a supplemental hydrogen kit to your vehicle's electrical system is no more a strain on the engine than turning on your headlights. All the hydrox gas does is help the gasoline or diesel molecule combust more thoroughly and release more of its stored energy inside your engine, not in the catalytic converter.

Will the kit drain my battery or ruin my alternator?
If your vehicle has a properly functioning charging system, you should see no difference in battery capacity or alternator life. Owners of older or high mileage vehicles may wish to have their vehicle's charging system tested before installing a supplemental hydrogen kit. This testing is normally performed free of charge at many auto parts stores around the country. In certain cases a battery and/or alternator upgrade may be needed.

Will my car still run if I run out of gas?
I wish it could, however the volume of hydrox gas required to run an internal combustion engine without another fuel source is quite large and just not feasible with our kits today.

Can I install the supplemental hydrogen system myself?
If you are comfortable installing a car stereo or changing spark plugs on your car, then by all means, yes! Our kits are designed for the do-it-yourselfer who is comfortable working with tools and on vehicles. If you can follow directions and have a bit of common sense, you can install our supplemental hydrogen system.

What do I do if I have a problem installing the kit?
You can contact us for support. Our trained staff is eager to help. If you run into problems with anything we are more than happy to help out or you can ask your local mechanic for assistance. They are always intrigued about the system and have sometimes offered free help to learn more about the system.

Can someone install the system for me?
Your local mechanic should be able to install the hydrogen kit for you in about an hour. We are currently working to set up an installation network of trained and certified mechanics across the country and will post locations when available.

I installed the kit and my fuel mileage is worse. What's wrong?
The first thing to check is the electronic fuel injection enhancer module (or EFIE) is functioning properly and calibrated for your engine's Oxygen sensor readings. If the EFIE module is not properly calibrated, the reduced hydrocarbons in your vehicle's exhaust will tell the O2 sensor to report a lean air/fuel mixture and cause the car's computer to add more fuel to the mix thereby causing a drop in fuel mileage. Please contact technical support for assistance.

Who do I contact for technical support?
Contact our technical support department for help. After hours calls will be returned the next day.

Can I get my money back if I'm not happy?
Absolutely! We stake our business and reputation on satisfied customers and we want you to be happy. We offer a full 60 day money back guarantee. If you are not fully satisfied we'll give you all your money back. All our supplemental hydrogen systems carry a limited one year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship and will be repaired or replaced at no cost.

Will it void my car's warranty?
The Magnuson-Moss Act of 1975 prohibits car manufacturers from voiding the vehicle's warranty because of the installation of an aftermarket part. In cases where such a failed aftermarket part is responsible for a warranty claim, the vehicle manufacturer must arrange a settlement with the consumer, but by law the new vehicle warranty is not voided.

Overall, the laws governing warranties are very clear. The only time a new vehicle warranty can be voided is if an aftermarket part has been installed and it can be proven that it is responsible for an emission warranty claim. However, a vehicle manufacturer or dealership cannot void a warranty simply because an aftermarket equipment has been installed on a vehicle.

If a dealership denies a warranty claim and you think the claim falls under the rules explained above concerning the clean air act (such as an emission part failure), obtain a written explanation of the dealers refusal. Then follow the steps outlined in the owners manual. However, if this fails, then phone your complaint in to the EPA at (202) 233-9040 or (202) 326-9100.

Is it legal to install?
As of this time we are aware of no legislation or restrictions on the installation of an aftermarket supplemental hydrogen generation system. We are working with the United States Environmental Protection Agency to have our hydrox systems registered and evaluated as a gas and emission savings device.
